Are these people crazy or am I?

Hey guys,

I have a serial stalker who framed a competitor of mine in the music industry by sending me a neo-nazi death threat in his name. I posted it online and there was a lot of drama because the competitor didn't actually write it. Now my serial stalker has come forward and is harassing other people in the music industry... yet this small group of people are accusing me of it all being in my head.

I was wondering if you guys could check this out and let me know if it's a communication issue. Do I just not speak their neurotypical language? Why are they saying that everything is in my head when there is obvious proof that it isn't? Just gaslighting/bullying I assume but I want to know if my judgment is off in any way.

Don't believe anyone with questionable credentials. That includes trolls.

They seem pretty crazy to me, just like the rest of the normal population. There's a question that I've been asking myself this question, lately. What if those of us at WP are the sane ones, and it's the normal type people, out in our local communities, who are the crazy ones?

Looking back these people seem like idiots who were a waste of time. I have better things to do. Was just curious if it was me or them.

I'm not Michael. ^^ Just reading that thread put me in mind of the scene from Mars Attacks! where the pres. gives his impassioned speech before being zapped into oblivion with death rays. My impression is that your scene is hypersensitive to accusations of fascism - presumably because at some point they have been at least in part justified, certainly there seems to me a degree of overlap with the sort of thing neo-nazis listen to* - and that by invoking them you invite a disproportionate level of anger in response. *shrugs*

*I'm a folkie myself, and sadly there's a degree of overlap between fascism and folk music, too.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I just got back here. I was asking Asmodeus is they were my stalker (not you Ambivalence) due to their trolling of me on this board. They posted a fail boat image (common troll-speak) and agreed with the people who were harassing on that message board... as I've been a a target of music industry mobbing for quite some time. They could just be some misinformed fan though. Sad to see people with AS behaving that way.

Anyway I quit the industrial genre and found a scene full of nicer people. I'm much happier now. There are so many new people to reach out to. I'm free.

As for standing up to trolls: it's usually a useless activity but sometimes you can exploit them for being fools and you end up gaining respect from people on the outside. If you don't stoop down to their level and counter everything with a logical argument it can do you a world of good. Just don't get emotional about it and you're fine.
