Are there Ghost hunters here?

A new user told me that a ghost hunter was spotted here. Is this true?

I did not know that it was possible for a forum to be haunted, but the idea certainly intrigues me.

I love to research ghost and stuff like that but I've never hunted one lol.

I tend not to believe in ghosts, but I think it would be fun and interesting to go someplace that was notoriously haunted to see if my mind could be changed.

Well, I haven't gone hunting in quite some time but I suppose I could be considered a ghost hunter. I'm guessing this anonymous person wasn't talking about me, though. I've never mentioned this on WP.

One place that has changed a lot of people's minds is the Whaley House in San Diego, California. In fact, the U.S. Department of Commerce has actually declared it genuinely haunted.

I oh so ever enjoy ghost stories; but no I never hunted one.

Out of sheer curiosity, is Ghostbusters your favorite movie?

I was, in my younger days.

I have done some ghost hunting, but nothing fancy.

I've gone ghost hunting a couple of times, but the only time I ever see anything is when I'm not looking for them.

@Idahorose ... I doubt it, Ghostbusters makes light of a very serious issue .

No, but I like the movie Beetlejuice! I willing to believe that ghosts are real if I saw solid proof of it.

I would NEVER hunt a ghost! Zombies, yeah, of course, and vampires and werewolves if they really ticked me off, but never ghosts.

I have done a little ghost hunting. I have a theory about ghosts. With all the people that see unexplained apparitions and hear strange otherworldly sounds, it is unlikely they are all imagining this phenomena. So there must be something going on. I believe there is a possibility that hauntings are a capturing of traumatic events recorded on an ectoplasmic type plane, that under the right conditions, replays itself like a movie. So---there could be a scientific explanation for hauntings. Many times, the haunting appears to be the same sequence of events. For example---"and on dark stormy nights the lady in white can be seen gliding down the hallway crying for her long lost baby, and then she descends the staircase and vanishes into the night..." Hauntings like this are often in this way---a repeat of a sequence. It is like it is a replaying of a movie. And the film is something in the air yet to be discovered by science.

But then on the otherhand, there are plenty of cases where this theory could be challenged---poltergeists and ones where there is interaction with a living person. There have also been cases reported of a ghost of a living person.

I took a couple parapsychology classes in college where we studied unexplained phenomena. It was quite interesting. If ghosts are indeed real as entities and not recordings like my theory, can you imagine what will happen? We might spend some of our afterlife on earth haunting others of our choosing.
