I've noticed that some of us, are into planes, some like trains and others are fond of automobiles, there are also some who love boats, as well. I'm an automobile person and a bus spotter, to be exact. I love the original AEC Routemasters. I'm sure that there are as many tastes in transportation, as there are members, and I'm interested to know what everybody's favourite transportation devices are.

I'm also into automobiles. But I personally like them all. I will always ask more about these things when I come across someone who is interested in them.

I chose planes, because I've always wanted to travel via one.

I am an automobile person, but I have been on boats and planes, and would definitely go on those again.

Trains. I can get motion sickness when traveling (especially planes and boats), but the straight and smooth movement of trains seems to prevent any sickness for me. They're fast, easy, have lots of room, have big windows, can be relatively cheap, and you can walk around. It's a clear winner to me.

I loathe automobiles. Travelling by car is my own personal hell!

Trains are good--but the quality of rail travel in this country is limited.

I am a recreational sailor, and love cruising.

But my first love is, and always has been planes. My father was an airline pilot, and I caught the airplane bug early!

I like them all equally, but for different situations. I like to drive cars & ride motorcycles, but I don't really like to be a passenger in a car (or on a MC) with someone else driving. I am a car enthusiast, and I collect Toyota cars & trucks with the very rare (in the USA) Diesel engine option. I also love flying, and I've taken flight school, but didn't get enough logged time to earn my license in the 2 years allowed. I prefer being in control of the plane myself, but also love just watching the scenery with another pilot in control. I like boats, but don't really get a thrill from sailing or piloting them. Riding on a boat as a passenger is how I like boating. Trains are also cool, but maybe kind of boring after awhile. Not really interested in operating one.

For me, definitely trains, followed closely by aircraft and boats. I'm more into the bigger civilian vehicles, such as high speed/bullet trains and passenger jet liners

I agree. Trains > Planes > Boats for long distance.

Bikes for short distance.

Automobiles when necessary.
