Some people really dislike the voices they have narrating those documentaries. They're very drab. I don't mind them. But what if they had some chutzpah to it? Like what if a gangster narrated them? Like "Some wankstas were sailin the seas in 1733 when they came across this island like yo whaddup island, we're gonna make you a country."

The narration is the least of the History Channel's problems. Step 1 for fixing the problem is getting rid of all those awful "reality" shows, like Pawn Stars and Ice Road Truckers.

What's that one show that's just about arresting people? Is that on the HC? It's not Cops, I know that

Going back to that would be an improvement.

For some reason, the international version still talks about history or at least try to be somewhat educational. The american version is probably worse than mtv with the reality, though I did get caught up in one of those swamp people shows about a week or so ago. :(

Back on topic, imagine using a sexy, sultry voice with lots of sexual double entendres. I bet viewership would pick up. Or maybe some Mel Brook's song and dance numbers.
