I've mention this in passing in other topics but I thought I'd cover it more indepth by giving it it's own topic. I had a galbladder attack and when I went in for multiple surgeries during a period of about 3 days (get stones out.galbladder etc.) during this time I didn't take my pills. (From the psychiatrist I'm on Risperdone,Lamictal,Wellbutrin XL) (regular doc. Synthroid) So not taking my pills I fealt on cloud 9 for once in 5 years I wasn't thinking of the "school issue." and such I fealt relieved at peace (whatever you'd call it) truly happy (or whatever). When I told my Psychiatrist she said the pills are still in your system and it'd take a month to see issues again. I was discourged by her response (As a Psychiatrist it's all pills.

I recently mention the family issues "Oh up the dose of all your current pills and I want to see you in a month (not regular 2 months) to see how that's going) UH I didn't double up! Last time I was taking double risperdone (regular was .50) she took it down to .25 (I was a zombie that next day BLAH!) I still can't shake I fealt so good that day. Anastestia, drugs from the hospital (not sure what I was given BTW) or all psychological and in my head? I'm not sure. What are your thoughts? Thanks.

When I underwent anesthesia to have my wisdom teeth removed, I would get feelings of euphoria that came out of nowhere. That lasted for about a week. I was still taking all my psychiatric medication during that time.

I think it is just a side effect of the anesthesia.
