I wonder if he had a meltdown or something happened here and he decided he had enough and deleted his latest posts and left.

Several members have that here in the past. Some people like to have all their posts gone before they leave so alex put in that 9,999 edit limit feature. But members still do that taking advantage of that limit but yet their old posts stay.

Someone would have the stamina to find ALL their posts, and delete over 9,999???

We have a time limit here for how long we can edit our posts till. It's about a week long before we can no longer edit them. So anything posted over a week ago, you aren't allowed to edit.

Yeah, I got curious (and worried) about him, too. I looked through his posts and noticed that he's only edited them out to a certain point. I really enjoyed his presence here on the forum, and he gave me some helpful hints for writing my article for the school newspaper.

I wonder why he left so suddenly.

Well, let's hope he's having fun in the real world. Maybe he'll come back, maybe he won't. It's his life after all. :D

I miss Willard's presence too. I thought about PMing him, but was thinking perhaps he's just taking a break and doesn't want to be bothered. I know he really values WP. He was gone for a while last year but he came back.

I miss him as well. I'm worried about him. I remember taking some time away for almost a year, in the June of 2008.

Willard is one of the most helpful and influential people in my life over this past year.

I'm also curious-- I generally like their posts.
