One of the joys of being on WP. This stuff is so common we better get used to it. 8)

I just wish people would contact the mods about it so we can ban the spammer. We are usually the last to know. People would sooner just create random threads on WP instead, during which time the spammer hits more inboxes.

I get spam in my message box all the time. I delete it when it pops up.

The best thing to do is simply forward them to a moderator or to quote the PM in full in the moderator attention thread - but be sure to mention the name of the poster. Several such spammers and scammers have been banned recently.
