Yes, conditions like that will mean you have a faster breathing speed. Can you affect your breathing at all though? I didn't intend this to be a competition, though! It was just something that interested me.
Deep slow breathing can be really good for asthmatics though, so I believe. I also have asthma, but it usually only comes on with a trigger.

That's cool! Deep breathing is very calming, and can even slow down your thoughts when they are whirling through your head like a horde of dervishes.
