Considering joining Tumblr (your thoughts)

I know this will go against my belief that social networking is pure evils but I'm thinking about joining Tumblr. From what I've seen it looks like a great place to just post and talk about your favorite fandoms in a way that provides privacy in an very unFacebook way. Is that what I'm getting from this? Facebook and Twitter are so boggled down in reality and dumped with other stupid stuff attached. Tumblr looks a lot more fun and I think I need a social networking site where I need to act and sound more positive and not get caught in all the drama. It looks like it's about posting fun stuff instead of getting on other people and political discussion. I could use a site like that. Plus no one I know is on Tumblr which makes it even more awesome because of how private I am. Anonymousity is important to me. I dont want any stupid stalkers.

So anyone on Tumblr and tell me if it's worth a try?

Join it! It's fun. It does protect your privacy but still gives a platform to share one's special interest.
