Patience versus procrastination

Although procrastination is a noun which means the state of leaving things undone, I think that the desire to put things off, to procrastinate, is far from having patience. The desire to procrastinate is, I think, rooted in not wanting to do something. Patience, however, is waiting for something you want. Both patiently waiting for something desirable and procrastinating involve abiding one's time, but the difference is that of wanting or wanting not.

Did someone claim that procrastination is patience?

Procrastination is a huge problem for me, and it's never even crossed my mind that it would somehow be associated with patience.

I occasionally procrastinate while patiently waiting for the possibility of something that will follow ... and I consider that prudent as opposed to experiencing the frustration accompanying "hurry up and wait".

Patience often involves delaying something you want to do.

Procrastination involves putting off something you need to do.

I am not patiently waiting to read my Alexander Pope assignment this morning!

What if you are patiently procrastinating until the problem of having nothing to do after that has been resolved?

Well, I thought since you liked birds it would intrest you. i have no other agenda, as I thought you made you're point very well nice distingusing paitence vs procrastination

I think birds are cool, yes. I've never known them to have much patience though, especially if they see spaghetti on a plate approaching their territory.
