an Aspie safehouse? Strapples says he might with the basement of his family's house, which can house 3 to 5 people... he'd be living upstairs so this is not including him! So there will be 4 to 6 Aspies in Strapples's house alone!

Hehehe... I think my parents have enough to deal with having me around, so I wouldn't put pressure on them by inviting more aspies to live with us.

I don't know about all that, though I may be interested in construction of an environmentally friendly self-sufficient home - possibly even participation in a village/community which functions off the grid (independent water, electricity, garden, etc) free from rent, city parking fees, taxes and other bills.

We are about to get our basement finished here, but we're not doing anything like that. What my mom plans on doing is adding in a home theater, a wet bar, an arcade area, and a powder room. So yeah, no safehouses here!

Is that serious? Wow! I actually have difficulty believing that there are lives in which have "wet bars, home theaters, an arcade area, and powder room", ( except the massively rich for whom my head says such things are perfectly normal!!

lol Yeah, our neighbors are planning on doing this as well. We actually have a pretty big basement to work with (about 1,600 sq ft) so right now, my mom's trying to find the best deal since she doesn't really want to spend more than $40,000. :wink:

we don't have a basement/cellar, and the attic is in use, so no safehouse making here, unless I were to buy a huge shed, lol
