I'm thinking of moving all living functions into one room and using the rest of the place for storage. A loft bed would make this easier. I'm very attracted to the cozy space under a loft bed, but in most examples I've seen, the bed itself looks not cozy but cramped. Do you use/have you used a loft bed? What are your thoughts?

if one tosses and turns in one's sleep, it is all too easy to fall out of a smaller [less than full-sized] bunk and hit the floor hard from a lofty height. it happened to me when i had to sleep in an army barracks bunkbed, back in the day.

One time when I had a small flat and there was not enough space, we thought about a bunk bed with storage space underneath and I would sleep on the top. I liked that idea but now I have a large flat and sleep in a normal bed.
