When I first registered here on WP, I noticed the post count and paid attention to the assigned category (ie "Emu Egg") under the user name. Later I stopped noticing until I got close to 1000. After that we can change the assigned "rank" to anything. I've noticed that some here who have more than 1000 posts don't bother changing their category. I wonder if people are paying less attention these days than when I joined WP. I'm sure it's not a big deal for anyone, but do people even notice any more? In other words, will you change your "rank" after 1000 posts?

I see you haven't changed your rank. Will you ever?

Well I did...
I guess people have their reasons, who knows what they are though.

I became very excited to change my rank when I reached my 1,000 post milestone.

I think that perhaps one of the reasons why some people don't change their rank is because they're not sure what they want to change it to.

Wakey wakey chrissyrun, it's at 1,000! ;)
You get your final automatic rank of Phoenix at 500 also for those wondering.

I look forward to my billionth post. There you have something to talk about deserving of a Carl Sagan or McDonald's honorary rank. :)

I had three years to pick one out, and I still found myself sitting at my computer during the rank edit process trying to decide what to type in!
Great! Now I have one more thing I have to decide! Even the choice of editing or not is a choice.
