meet shaylin
our newest member of the family
we found her about a few weeks before kirby died, she was nearly dead when we took her in. she had a hole in her neck and the fleas were eating her alive she wasn't strong or old enough to hunt for food.
my mom bathed her and blood was just coming out of her from the flea bites, she had maggots on her and we didn't think she would survive the night. so we patched her up the best we could and fed her some can food and just hoped for the best.
once she had made it through several days we bathed her constantly and had to spray her for fleas for at least two months straight.
once the fleas all died she began to recover her fur started growing until she looked more like a long hair cat then a short hair cat.
now you can hardly tell she had gone through all that.
nowadays she is spoiled rotten, she is as stubborn as i am, and playful as any other kitten. she also has my exact eye color i was surprised when i looked at her.
she also has a very unique personality, because her throat was damaged she can hardly meow, but she makes up for it with facial expressions, if she doesn't like something she will literally give you the stink-eye, or glare at you. but you can basicly tell what she is feeling by looking at her face alone, and she may be part Somali the fox cat breed because of her bushy tail.
she is bad but we love her regardless.
this was the only one we took in, there was a trailer in front of our yard that this guy owned, he died and the opened the trailer and found out he had give or take 50 cats all closed in starving, after a while most of them died i guess they were all released into the wild, none of them were taken to shelters or anything.
my mom found shay curled under a trailer she was helping to fix, and she brought the cat to the house, the kitten was probably about month old maybe less.
that guy in the trailer should have had a system of some kind in place for the cats.
shay has been with us for a while now and i feel like she's part of the family now.

She is beautiful
I'm glad she has a home with people who love her and can take good care of her.

yeah once her fur started to grow again once she got food and water, she turned into a really pretty cat. i'm glad we were able to help one of the cats from that trailer, my grandma has another one, a black male cat, he's like a small panther he so big, but he is very passive cat.
but yeah she is definitely loved, she more or less acts like she's a queen. course we did spoil her alot.
