I was Christened Anglican, at St. Stephen's Anglican Church, when I was 2... my mother read me stories from the children's Bible... I was confirmed Anglican, at St. Paul's Anglican Church, when I was 12... I was in Sunday school at St. Paul's when I was 5 and when I was 11 and 12... I was in the After School Kids' Activities thing at St. Paul's when I was 11 and 12; it was fun... we watched Veggie Tales, we were read this book called Please God Help Me Fall Asleep; once we were given these bracelet things with "WWJD" on them... but mostly we just did stuff like play floor hockey, played with some toys, ate snacks, just stood around and talked, did some other activities... when I was 12 my priest had to sign a thing saying that the church would pay for me to go to camp, as it was a Bible camp... we had chapel every day, where we sang cool modern Christian songs... in grade 7 or 8 I went to a Catholic school where we had religion as one of our subjects... we had chapel sometimes, like a few times a year; Ash Wednesday was one of those days... the school principal was a nun and nuns lived in apartments upstairs... both my parents own Bibles and my mother talked about how important it is to be Christian, my father also talked about that a few times. That's pretty much the extent of my Christian upbringing.

Oh yeah, and I had this math tutor in grade 10 who once took me and my mother to this Christian meeting where there were lots of young people, we sang songs and some of them started jumping up and down to the songs, this chaplain gave speeches translated by another guy for the French people, he talked about how he spoke in tongues once and never had before after this fireman who helped on 9/11 gave him his fireman's coat... it was rather interesting, I wonder if it was true!


Also, she took us to this Sunday school thing where we went up to this room and saw stuff the kids had made, it was the day all the parents came in... we had this potluck sort of thing and we ate lots of yummy food... this was after we watched a play by the little kids... then they all got certificates and stuff... it was fun to go to.

Roman Catholic my whole life. I have not attended a service in years but still read the Bible and prey. I think, this past year or two I have driffted away a bit, as far as connectedness with God, often the result of my job and other responsibilities, its a real problem and i need to do something about it.

I'm a Roman Catholic. I'm not too religious. I do pray and celebrate the holidays though and not eat meat on Fridays during Lent.

Not all denominations of the Catholic faith are anti-gay.
There are many churches that welcome gay members, one being The Metropolitan Church of {Your City}which welcomes members of all faiths & has services in the evenings.

I said some christian sect see homosexuality as wrong
and I said the catholic religion-meaning the guys who run the show

Nope, my parents are a pair of atheists.

I didn't have much religious background, we only went to church Easter and Christmas and my mom sent me and my brothers to VBS every summer where I was baptized when I was 12, but my husband is religious and we were dating I started going with him. Ironically I now teach a preschool class on Wednesday nights. The church I go to is really cool though and accepting of all kinds of different people and that is what I like about it. It is really big though and sometimes that causes problems. So even though my earlier background was not religious, now I am.
