A similar thread's been done for Canada so that's inspired me to post this.

I'm Scottish, and for me this is a brave and controversial post to make - because I'd get lynched for saying this in front of my fellow countrymen and countrywomen.

But I love England, the English people, and the English way of life. And when I go to England, I feel like I don't want to come back - such as for example the long weekend I've just had in England (Bristol area, to be exact).

To kick off for things we love about England: English people are very friendly, so much more so than people at home. (Apart from when you're in central and inner London.)

Isambard Kingdom Brunel. And the many of his works still to be seen.

Foxton locks. And working though them.

Well I'm English but living in Nothern Scotland. I have also lived in North Wales for a long time. I have to say that I find Scottish people more friendly than English and Welsh, and Irish people are the most friendly (I would love to live in the Republic of Ireland but it's so expensive now!!).
Scottish people are LOUD, though!!.

What do I like about England,..........hmm, don't miss a lot, just the countryside in Cornwall where I was raised - the moors and the beautiful beaches.

I like the fact that they like us.

The weather.

It always provides an emergency topic of conversation :P Plus I could never stand being hotter than it recently got, but any colder than we get and I'd be useless. So ... yeah. Despite moaning about it, thinking about the weather elsewhere, I think I like England's!

Sassanach! :D

Friendly? Is this a joke? The scots may be dour, but they are sincere (the ones here anyway).

Anyway, I love that England keeps on trying at Rugby and Cricket, even though they have no hope.

There are quite a few Routemasters scattered throughout England, from the Heritage Routes in London, to that Black one in East Yorkshire. Afternoon Tea. The music. The rainy weather. The different Regional Accents. London's history. Bobbies. Mods and Rockers. The TV show, Heartbeat. The rebellious attitudes of the Chavs.
