Since I have mentioned somewhere on here that I used to do some fire staff work, I thought I would post a few photos of myself doing this here.

Those are great pics!! Is there much fire spinning in the UK? In the states I've found spinners mostly in the northwest (Oregon!) and maybe a few here and there between the west coast and Austin. Not nearly enough. I've been spinning poi for a number of years, but never could get the hang of staff.

There are two groups in this city...two universities here most likely being the reason. It is pretty popular here, but not so popular people don't ask what I mean by fire arts. I never had any pics taken of the fire breathing...that is the most impressive, but I have sworn to not do it again as it does have a lot of risks attached. I have a 3 staffs and fire clubs here myself. Here are some more pics as requested...

Um, at that point, having the accolade would not matter as I would be floating above you, waving my fists

It's actually quite doable.

But it requires special fuel and years of training.

If you mean fire breathing, I can already do that... you hold a mouthful of paraffin, hold the torch in front of you and blow out the paraffin at the torch while stepping back slightly. I learnt it in an hour. My ex could already do it all, and until a point, I had refused to even try it, until I heard the Ministry of Sound were performing at a yacht festival the next night and the organisers wanted fire performers after seeing my ex and his fire pals. So, there we were in the local park, at 2am in the morning, teaching me to fire eat, fire breathe and fire staff. But after that occasion, I didn't do it again as it made me so nervous. It can freeze your lungs and kill you if you accidentally inhale the paraffin, and it can kill you if the flames blow back in your face, which has been known to happen.
