I've tried it loads of time and never came up with much that interested me even though a lot businessmen and some pretty respectable people share my name.

Then I found this and this was interesting I read the whole story it's very eerie and all the more so because the guy was born and bred in the same area of Ireland my Dad came from and they have the same name Phillip Lynch.

My dad called me after him but he called me Philip with one L whereas his name is Phillip with two L's on his birth certificate. Maybe that's how they spell it over there. Anyway I love a good story the more scandalous or offbeat the better and this one's a beezer. Something that I actually wanted to find out more about so I actually read the whole thing.

http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.anc ... ution.html poor buggar though fell foul of the demon drink and his own stupid nature an age old story.

Have a go please see what you come up with ?

Yes. My birth name is quite rare, so nothing comes up, except I post I made to a group in 1996. I don't splatter my real name over the internet. My married name is very common, but none of them are me. And my other name is uncommon but none of them are me either. There are no famous people with any of my names.

Win.

Yes, and I do it often to check if something odd happens. My name pops-up a lot because of the stuff I'm into and the work that I do, but I do have the luxury that my name is not original and there are a lot of people here with the same name, which is a form of anonymity. About 60% of all the results are mine, but people aren't able to sort them out and link them to me because of the other people with the same name, except for the most obvious results of course.

I still get some hits from interviews I did with the business press back when I was a Wall Street analyst, but the most famous person with my name is an accomplished meteorologist in the American midwest.

I just did. Some of the results were mine (links to the online contests won by me), the whole rest belong to ordinary folks - people from school student lists, ones who are on FB and so on - no famous people. I share my last name only with some Polish Army general from both the wars.

Yes, and it's been remarked upon before. There is another one who is a sailboat racer. I'm surprised I don't have a windy profession, mine's more like hot air...

I was named after two aunts of my father so I come up with death notices. Its not all morbid because it also lists relatives I can connect. If I do just my last name I will come up with my father or my siblings and if I go to the last pages I might come up with me but its been awhile since I cared.

I just did and found 2 (!) people on Facebook with my exact name. (I don't use my real name there or anywhere online.) They are both Hungarian, of course. That's actually pretty exciting to me. :D

yes i have. its such a common name that it took my aunt over a year of trying to find me on facebook, and she only found me because it was a suggestion due to both having my dad as a friend. I know 3 people irl with my same first and last, 2 with same first and tons with same last. Ohh and it doesnt help theres some celebrities with it too and that i dont splatter it all over the place.

I just found out that there is a small time actress with my name. The first thing that pops up on Google is some womans resume/webpage thing. Other then that.....nothing of interest.
