I go through a love hate relationship with coffee. I sometimes love it sometimes hate it. Sometimes the smell of it itself is nauseating while other times I can't stop mainling coffee all day long.

Coffee is great. Maybe because I am ADHD and not medicated the stimulant effect makes me much more able to deal with life. I am not really human until after coffee.

Another thread about coffee! Hooray! :D Coffee puts a smile on my face... honestly it really does!

Coffee doesn't really make me feel more awake/alert... I just feel like I think much more clearly after drinking some coffee. Plus the taste and smell are just wonderful!

the caffeine in coffee isnt enough to make an impact on me. Neither on soda. And energy drinks rarely have effect on me and if they do they make me sleepy :? i must be broken or something, alcohol is the same. almost no effect besides sleepyness after a while.

If I didn't have a big cup of coffee this morning, I probably wouldn't even have my eyes open right now.

Well, it can make me very shaky and nervous. Basically if I'm in a social situation and have coffee, it ups my social anxiety quite considerably.
I also have to pee a LOT. :P

You're prolly immune to them from having had a lot of them in the past.

MXH, have you ever had any other drugs have that kind of effect, opposite to what they are supposed to have? I ask because codeine makes me an insomniac, wired absolutely wired. My dad was the same way. Both of us seem to metabolize pain killers and anesthesia fast as well. It always takes much more to know me out and I wake up. Had an operation once and woke up in the middle of it swinging and fighting, took about 6-7 people to hold me down. VERY disturbing.

I don't drink coffee, against my religion. :P

But the smell of it is pretty gross and gives me a headache, tis on the list of painful smells...right behind fish and smoke....

I'm allergic to coffee and it causes my asthma to flare up. I don't drink it anymore.

 I had that experience when I travelled to the Middle East, because there they do not drink 'coffee', there they drink a thick syrupy divine 'potion', boiled up three times with lots of sugar and green cardamom, which is served in minute little cups or glasses and then consumed by an unsuspecting foreigner like me. 8O , I thought my  would jump out of my mouth!
