Does anyone ever notice how sympathetic people on the autism spectrum really are? I know we might lash out with inappropriate emotions, but sometimes I feel like we have a deeper understanding of the big picture. For example, if anyone goes to aol.com or yahoo.com, or any website for that matter, and you read under articles peoples' comments, most comments are ignorant and can be incredible insulting at times. If you read our blogs and comments, almost everyone seems to be sympathetic and caring towards individuals with problems. Why do you think there is a huge discrepancy? Is it because we try to fit in so we don't want to cause conflict? Or do you think it's because we are more open to ideas that other people shun (for lack of a better word)?

I'd consider it more of a mutual understanding of each other (and this goes for most Nt's too). We just understand each other's problems better.

^ And I would think that it is further enhanced because there are so few of us in comparison, and therefore treat each other better because there aren't so many of us. Who knows!
