Chewing Barbie's feet

I didn't put this in the General Autism forum because I don't know if it has anything to do with autism or ADHD, but I googled "chewing on Barbie's feet as a kid" to see if it's common and found a lot of entries concerning this topic. I did chew on my Barbie's feet and hands. I also gave them haircuts.

I am wondering if anyone else did this?

Absolutely. I totally destroyed Barbie's feet. I had a huge oral fixation as a child and was pretty much chewing on anything plastic that I could find. Eg I destroyed many watches by chewing the wristbands to shreds.

I'm not talking about being a baby, either. I was in grade school so probably somewhere around 6 or 7.

I chewed the hands once, but mostly it was the texture of the material the feet were made out of that I craved. I have this little rubber doggie bone for my pet dog and I realized the texture is a lot like the Barbie feet and the dog likes to chew the bone. There's just something so chewy about that texture. Little teeth like to sink into it.

I also chewed a lot of pencils. My pencil had little teeth marks all over it. I chewed the eraser off.

I agree. The texture of Barbie's feet was heavenly.

I never did that but I let my hamster nearly chew her toes off.

When I was a kid I only had one Ken and one Barbie. Eventually my first Ken snapped in half at the waist and I got a new Ken.

I liked my My Little Ponies better.

I had a little Fisher Price horse that I tried to chew but couldn't because it was really tough but I still loved that horse and carried it around everywhere with me. It was my absolute favorite thing. I also had a weeble wobble horse that never got chewed that I carried around everywhere.

I couldn't remember if the feet subject came up but vaguely remember mentioning chewing on the Fisher Price Little People Farm horse.

I think we talked about pencils.
That's what reminded me.

I have cut my Barbie's and baby dolls hair because it was too long and in the way.

I don't think I really chewed on their feet but my cat did. I had to keep them away from her. It was a phase she went through. But I did used to chew on things and still do but it's not real chewing.

I cut my Barbie's hair and drew tattoos on her when I was little.

I thought I was the only one who did this...I loved the taste and texture of Barbie feet! I chewed everything at that age...I also loved chewing on certain kinds of plastic and pencils.

what can I say except...
