what are the 5 white boxes by your screenname about? sometimes some are colored in and sometimes not.

and what about the "avatar titlte" thing? i used to be a butterfly and now i'm a woodpecker?

guess i just never picked up on it ><

Okay, well I figured that the little boxes are your ranking stats. The colour change must be some kind of percentage/loyalty system. Notice that all the Admin's and Mod's have the full set, while new users (such as you, I'm presuming) only have a few. I'm thinking that as you post and visit and all that, your ranking will gradually increase.

The name is also linked to rank. As you move up in ranks, your rank title will change. Brand new users will be Yellow-banded Titmouse (chuckle!), while Veterans will have the Phoenix ranking. The title also varies due to the percentage of the rank. For example, the Yellow-banded Titmouse is probably 0-50% new user, and Butterfly is 50-100% new user. The last thing to take into account is that at some point, probably upon reaching Phoenix level or something, you can actually change your rank description!

All this is assumtion, but I feel confident I've been fairly accurate. Flitch! I just realised I moved up to Deinonychus rank (it's appropriate because it's a dinosaur, and it's been theorised birds evolved from dinosaurs)! Oh, and it's n00b, just so you know...

the rank changes with number of posts i've noticed, i am not sure what the blocks do yet.

with enough posts you can choose your title I want to have rubberduck or something
