Ah, but in the case of spiders, the bigger you breed a species, the slower and thus the easier to catch, or run from, it becomes. So it's not like a horribly dangerous experiment that escapes from a lab and terrorizes a town. Rather, in this particular case, the greater the size, the more effectively docile the animal is. It's not like the feared "super snake" accidental hybrid that
really could terrorize a town.
