Especially since coronavirus, it appears that the following things have skyrocketing prices:

Rent
Grocery
Utilities
Health insurance
Transportation

While salaries and minimum wage have not been rising in proportion.

Plenty of people earn minimum wage or unemployed

It seems like plenty of people that don't earn much $$ waste a lot of $$$ on kids, cars, vacations and et cetera. How do they do it financially?

I think some people who appear not to be struggling either have either debt or strong financial support networks. Or they have sources of passive income, such as having inherited a house that they rent [to struggling students for an exorbitant price], etc.

When people who complain about how they struggle with money start talking about their upcoming trip to Spain, I feel cynical. I think the annual vacation is viewed here as an intrinsic part of the middle class standard of living, and there are people who aspire to be perceived as middle class. It feels important to them. They'll go into debt to capture that illusion.

I've known people around my age range in the anime figure collecting community who aren't expected to pay rent while still living with their parents. They can still afford the hobby despite making peanuts.

There are also people in DINK relationships who can spend lavishly on fun things thanks to their spouse having higher income. Not to generalize but so far I have encountered 2 women who have husbands that are tech bros.

Admittedly, I do envy these types of people but I try not to dwell on it.

Prices are so high that I can't afford to eat a balanced diet. I can only buy fruits and veggies when they're on sale.

Just last week wasted over $110 on food Maxx. Nothing extravagant, luxury or fancy

Just:
Naan, pita bread, sushi
Chicken
Milk and yogurt
Broccoli and tofu
Berries, bananas, mangoes

$21 barely above minimum wage

Maybe I should eat less

Food Maxx is already ghetto. Not whole foods

I feel ashamed that I earn so little $$$$ that I have to shop at food Maxx

I would be embarrassed, ashamed and horrified to work there

But whatever

A couple of years ago applied for a job at food Maxx. Rejected. No job interview

Oh well

"Life" goes on and on and on and on and on

today wasted $93 @ Ross. a couple towels, one hooded sweatshirt, two jackets.

expensive. ross is already a secondhand store or something like that.

my sister had the nerve to tell me to get my rags from Salvations Army, but afraid of bedbugs and things like that.

but i "needed" the merchandise. it wasn't luxurious.

everything so expensive, especially since coronavirus.

and, as usual, no car, so couldn't carry anything heavy or large. that was all i could purchase, b/c it would've been too hard to take it on the bus.

still need: shoes, sweatpants, underpants, shirts, thick jackets. (maybe work clothes, but seriously doubt any dumpsterfire "job" will ever hire my worthless corpse ever again.)

could not find any jackets thick enough for the winter here @ ross. have to go to a different store. inconvenient by public transportation.

I find the best clothing deals at Kohl's discount racks. Sometimes I buy stuff marked 70% off and have a coupon for another 30% because I have their store charge card.

Greed. I don't want to hear any other answers, reasons or excuses as to why everything's so expensive now. Because it just boils down to greed. Millionaires want to become billionaires, billionaires want to become trillionaires, and so on. I hate greed. I want to live in the days where people ran businesses to earn a living and to happily provide service for the public. Now all it's about is money, money, money, and more money, even if they can afford to buy a private jet it's still not enough money for them, so they jack up their prices, expecting depending customers to pay more and more.

I hate the world today. I can't stand greed. Yes, I want more money, but only to be able to live comfortably and not have to work any more. Greed and comfort are two different things.

Yesterday bought four jackets from Burlington coat factory for $150

But I kind of needed jackets because my Pigpen is so cold temperature and no central heating

Space heater only heats the hallway and barely

My sister said she buys clothes from salvation army but I am afraid those clothes have contagious diseases besides those clothes low quality

if i wasn't so broke i wouldn't have to take public transportation

only got two dry pairs of shoes right now. my sister gave me a fan to blow dry wet shoes with, but that takes a couple of days.

if i had $$$ i would have enough shoes that i wouldn't have to worry about having to go to work with wet shoes.

wouldn't have to work @ home depot

or live in a ghetto

a lot of the reason is that all the central banks like the FED printed so much money during Covid. Also a lot of people live large on debt.

Especially since coronavirus, grocery costs skyrocketing

Also been exhausted lately and trying to improve diet to avoid having to struggle to stay awake constantly

King Oscars sardines, $3.50 for 200 calories. Counts as two servings. Instead of two pieces of bread. Bread $4 for 15 pieces

$4.00/15 slices. 52 cents for two pieces

Prescriptions
Drivers license renewal, even though don't have a car (need it to pick up prescription)

Feel like I am dying financially

Drowning suffocating overwhelming overpowered outnumbered outsmarted

Angry scared of being homeless

Alone

Hateful wounded

I've been learning how to make my own yeast bread.
Crumpets fried on a stove.
Bao buns steamed in a double boiler.
Pretzels baked in an oven.
Frying dough balls in a deep fryer.

no going behind building
sweatpants

haven't changed.

but boss hasn't been barking @ me. which is good but no closure.

angela w owes me an apology.

I keep myself slenderer than normal for somebody my age, due to not wanting to spend all that money that food costs these days. and there are righties who say the people aren't spending enough of their income on food. sheesh. let THEM starve first!
