Hey, I love it.
When the trick-or-treaters come to MY house (Haunted window - don't ask.) they have to EARN their sweets. I am planning on going crazy this year.

What exactly do you mean by that? I got a load of scary sweets from the shops.

I think that it's the silliest time of the year. Kids go door to door, begging for candy. This is the one night that I truly wish I was in England, because Beg-a-ween is still not celebrated in most parts of that country.

I USED to enjoy it, but it's getting to be waaaay overdone. The grocery put Helloween decorations and items out before September 1st this year. Too many grown-ups acting like kids ! !!

I dressed up for Halloween once. Wasn't worth the effort.

I was a goth. Had a fishnet shirt and dyed my hair black, makeup, etc. I was totally hot. Well, actually I'm totally hot all the time but I was exceptionally hot on that Halloween.

(LOL)

I don't need to dress-up, because I look like Austin Powers, no matter what I'm wearing. :P

There are three Halloween's - The Irish Halloween which is genuinely part of their culture as they are very superstitious and I believe they invented it, the American Halloween which evolved from the former and went for the bigger is better, over the top approach and the UK Halloween which is a poor copy of the US version. I can’t speak for anywhere else.

It’s a false and hypocritical shambles in this country with no basis in the culture. It ends up as just another merchandising opportunity for retailers and another chance for greedy and offensive children to be greedy and offensive. It should be left to Ireland and the US to get on with it and stopped here.

As living in the UK, I see as an import from you Americans.

What I think of it?

One word that starts with S and ends in T.

There's an H and I in the middle in order though.

My halloween spirit is we shut off all the curtains and turn of all the lights and pretend we are not in. :)

If they persist we tell them to piss off. :)

Plus they get scared by our dog. :)

Besides I think it's begging. IMHO.
