This is Floyd (U Too Floyd). For some reason his family is returning him to the greyhound rescue. They have had him in their home for the past 6 years. He was adopted at age 5. Yup, he is 11 years old and losing his home. :x (UN-COOL!! !) We are taking him in as a foster boy. I hope the transition isn't too hard for him, poor baby. We're picking him up Sunday afternoon.

He looks bewildered, poor thing, I hope he likes being with your family.

I know people very involved in greyhound adoption and fostering. They are awesome dogs. Someone told me once they are like huge cats and love to crawl on your lap. Kudos to you for doing this. Greyhounds are treated horribly once their usefulness on the track is over.

I hope Floyd is settling in, and soon forgets his previous family.

He's a cutie and a keeper. Too bad for his situation but good that you guys are helping him out.

This is Floyd at age 11:
He came to live with us last Sunday, March 4th
He died with love and dignity last Thursday, March 8th.
The damage done by the neglect from the last family he lived with was too much to overcome.
Goodbye sweet boy.
You will never be forgotten.

That's very sad after a rough life.

OMG. I had no idea. So sorry. What a beautiful dog. Too bad his family wasn't charged. We got a dog that lives behind us. He's always barking all night and all day with a leash tied short and to a porch poll. I haven't seen any food or water or dog house. Whenever anyone goes out there including the kids (you'd think kids would play with their dogs) they yell at him and throw some scraps out. We live in a trailer park so everything is in very close proximities. Many other neighbors have complained to the managers and they sympathize but can't do much about it I guess. Mostly it's the barking that's annoying.

RIP Floyd. At least you took him in and did what you could.
