Such a large and diverse series of books, I wonder if there are any Discworld fans on WrongPlanet. It seems like it would take years to learn everything there is to know about these books.

Who is your favorite character/what is your favorite miniseries?

Big Discworld fan(though sadly, I'm about 3 books behind). Horrible thing that Mr Pratchett's going through.


As far as characters go, I'm torn between Vimes and Granny Weatherwax as a favorite.

I have read them all. Great stuff. My favorite character? that's a difficult one. There are too many great characters.

Time to dig out my collection and re-read them I think...

I only discovered them about a year ago and I love them. Apparently he's got another one coming out in the Fall. I think it's about the talking dog, who's name escapes me at the moment. I often wonder if Captain Carrot would be diagnosed as an aspie.

When I first looked at the topic, I thought that Discworld was a name of a band. I haven't read the books. What are they like?
