shopping,shopping,shopping....not just the crowds and expense but trying to decide what people will like.I hate to waste money but the things I like arent the things most my family likes.Sometimes I will but several gifts because I cant figure out what they will like and then have second thoughts about what I bought. This is really stressful and expensive.
It makes me more aware of how left out I am with my adopted family. They always get together but I cant afford to fly down and see them(dont know if I really would want to,as it use to be stressful when I did)I have no family in my area and am never sure if this is a good or bad thing, mixed feelings.
I like Christmas lights and eggnog and dont go into anything but thrift stores,so I am not bombarded by Christmas music.
I dont usually get "what I want" for Christmas...my boyfriend never seems to remember when I say I like something, alot of times he gets me things he can use,(we both like a lot of the same things,so it's not all bad)It was worse when I was growing up and my mom would buy me clothes she wanted me to wear(like pink sweaters)instead of things she knew I liked(like black T-shirts).Now they just send cash.
The clients(DD),I work with, get little to nothing from their families for Christmas and I feel guilty not buying them things(even though I am not supposed to)More shopping pressure, because they cant always tell me specifically what they want,so it's hit and miss and can be a waste of money when they dont like it.
over all....I hate Christmas and cant wait until it is over!! !! !
