so in other words. Normal.

I come off as normal, even though I'm Aspie.

Eh, I'd hardly call anyone "normal". They're not right, they're just typical. Average. Uninteresting. They're people who have no "psychological disorder" (as they so affectionately call it) and usually don't care to learn about them. They're skeptical of those who claim to have them, whether it presents a real problem or not. And they're afraid of the "disorder" itself, and how it will affect them.

That's the typical NT, as I've come to understand it. Not everyone is like that, but enough are that you'd be quite fortunate to find someone different. Humans are so strange...

I believe he means he's adjusting to the world around him, as he gets older. It's quite normal, in fact, for AS symptoms to become less apparent as one ages. Through watching others and experiencing things for oneself, one may reach a point where it is difficult for others to notice that one has AS.

Personally, I've not seen much change. I remain as much an oddity in the eyes of others as I was when I was younger. Moreso, even, because I've locked myself away for so long. But then, that's just me.

Well, count me out. I'm 50, and still considered odd. My AS isn't evaporating.

However, as I get older, I do get labelled 'eccentric' more often, so's I'm a bit more mainstream.
