Hello, aspie roleplayers if any of you are here.

I know at least one exists - I am an aspie roleplayer. (I'm also dyspraxic)


Altough I am right-handed (well, I pick drinking vessels up with my left hand but that's it.), my characters have a strong tendency to be left-handed.

I think this is because so I can describe them better, I imagine them facing me but I forget to switch the sides when they're facing me so...yeh.

Anyone else do this or something similiar?

Any thoughts/other theorys?

I'm ambidextrous. My main character (who is a kid) is ambidextrous but a lot more left-handed (by forces outside of his control). Another character who I write about quite often is right-handed. I suppose it really depends on what mood I'm in when I write my characters.

I would have to know what dyspraxia is in order to form any sort of theories, however.

I'm left-handed most of the time, but ambidextrous when it suits me and right-dominant after stressful experiences.
Since I'm usually a gamesmaster rather than a player, the characters I play cover all categories - although the knack of mirror-writing with either hand comes in very useful with NPCs that like to be deliberately obscure (or with my guilty pleasure, the Vampire LARP, where I play oddball characters instead of Generic Goth #23).

And eep...I'd better get back to the adventures I'm supposed to be typing up for a convention.

I am right-handed, though I eat left-handed and (back in school when I actually had to play sports) bat left-handed playing baseball.

I am also a veteran role-player, currently in one live and four play-by-email games. But I've never thought about the handedness of my characters. I always assumed they were right-handed, like me.

I am a lefty. My nick "seethaki" is the name of my longest-lived RPG (as in the old-fashioned, tabletop kind) character--a 6' Hithosi (a humanoid reptilian race invented by my friend Pat) woman who had special prophetic "dreaming" abilities.

She was the strong and silent type. (Unlike myself, who is a a weak and silent type.. hehe.)
