I like smallish Orb Weavers that have the pretty Mexican looking designs on their backs. Anything bigger than those tend to creep me out, though. I also like those little green gardener snakes, though I'm scared of big snakes.

It's evolutionarily advantageous to be afraid of them. I think most people are.
Me? I'm not scared of snakes, but only when they're pets kept in a tank. I'm scared of spiders because their long, spindly legs creep me out.

Not really. I'm more scared of slimy things like maggots and worms. I also hate cockroaches and centipedes.

Yes, I'm afraid of both. Snakes I can handle looking at but not touching - but with spiders I feel afraid either looking or touching them. I don't know why anyone would want to keep creatures like those as pets.

I absolutely love snakes and other reptiles.
My favorites are the one's most people are afraid of Alligators,Crocodiles,Komodo dragons etc.
I don't like spiders but I'm not afraid of them.

No but I would have the fear of having to hold a snake.

Though a snake like Yawn... Yes, that would be scary for me.
Maybe I would be scared of a big spider like in the movie "Eight Legged Freaks" but generally I'm okay around them.

I'm scared of spiders and I'm also scared of spider webs.

I don't think I'm scared of snakes but I don't like them.

I quite like spiders, actually. My instinct is to let them crawl onto my hand.

Don't have much experience with snakes, but I am certainly afraid of the idea of being bitten by a poisonous snake. When I am in Australia I tend to obsessively avoid long grass.

Spiders scare me, but snakes don't. I've held part of a large snake at a reptile house once, and it didn't feel odd or dangerous.
The most frightening type of animal I've ever encountered? Wasps. They should be murdered, every single one of them.

I love snakes but loathe spiders. Even pseudoarachnids like the pholcidae or opiliones terrify me :pale: .
