Because they can't say "Stop being a douchebag" to a kid.

That's kind of what they mean. I know that's what I mean when I say that to a kid.

Some teachers teach because it makes them feel better that they're more clever than the students they teach. If a student proves otherwise, it pisses the teacher off.
