Three words: Junie. B. Jones.

OK, I realize that more accurately speaking, that's two words and an initial, but anyway, does anyone remember, or was anyone ever a fan of, the Junie B. Jones books by Barbara Park?







I LOVED these when I was a kid...I read my first one when I was maybe 7 or 8, and I still love them now. I loved Junie B. because she got to do all the horribly naughty things that I aways wished I could do (owning a tool belt and subsequently wreaking havoc on her room, cutting her dog's hair, hiding out in a school supply closet till everyone else goes home for the day and then having the place to herself).

Lately, the tone of the books has changed to where Junie B. is no longer in kindergarten, but in 1st grade, and has a new group of friends and a prissy girl who sits right next to her and gets on her nerves. I also saw on the official website that there's a new JBJ book coming out soon (AT LAST!!) with a Thanksgiving theme - I'll definitely be on the lookout for that one.

So, what about you guys? Did you love/read any of the Junie B. Jones books when you were kids (and maybe you're like me and still do )?

I remember Junie B. Jones! I loved those books when I was younger. My local library has them in eBook format, so I'm going to check them out and read them again. Did you ever like The BabySitter's Club, Ramona Quimby, or Wayside School is Falling Down? Those were some of my other favorites.

I read about half the series in the span of two hours when I was about 6. Very easy read, cute, and entertaining.

I read few of them. I saw the first one when I was in 6th grade and it was the Stupid Smelly Bus one. My favorite series in my childhood were the Baby Sitters Little Sister books and then it was the Babysitters Club when I was in 6th grade and up. I also remember reading The Boxcar Children books starting in 3rd grade and then I lost interest in them around 4th grade.

I loved those books, my main obsession as a kid was the Babysitter's Club though, lasted until I was around gr. 7-8, then I forced myself to get rid of them since they took too much room on the book shelf XD
