Okay, this isn't a religious thing or a "I don't celebrate this-and-that" thread, this is an opportunity to show Wrong Planet your skills at decorating (particularly a Christmas tree). Mine aren't finished it yet, because we got an 11 foot tree and we just got finished putting fake snow on it.

Our little one is finished (we have two trees this year, it's a 7 foot tree), but I'm too lazy to post a picture right now.

So, go ahead and show us your handiwork. :)

Happy Holidays! :santa:

What kind did you get? The bigger one is a Noble and the smaller one is a Fir for me.

Ah, I see.

Hopefully it'll have lovely ornaments and lights on it soon.

I need to put my miniature tree up. Unlike other Christmas trees, mine is decorated with various 1:18, 1:72, 1:36 and 1:8 scale weapons, Jerry Cans and green Army men (some coated with phosphorescent paint to make them glow).

Those are beautiful Makayla. I wish we had a ceiling high enough for an 11 foot tree. Ours isn't photo ready yet. It is kinda leaning against the window with lights only on one side and Molly (one of our dogs) keeps drinking the tree water at the base.

Every year I use the old trees in various landscaping projects and invariably some tinsel gets left on. And every year the birds use the tinsel in lining their nests. Once a piece of red tinsel ended up dangling from the bottom center of a Robin's nest and a tiny miniature pinecone hung from the bottom of the tinsel.

I forgot to mention the ježek ("Czech Hedgehog") being used as a star and the 1:6 and 1:8 scale ammo boxes (I have a "normal" tree as well). As for decorative skill, I choose not to waste time on making the trees look fancy, since in all reality, I'll be the only one seeing it.

I now need to get my geek tree done...

^ I like that tree. Very creative. :thumright:

@Toy_Soldier: Thanks. I can't wait to see when your tree is done.

This is actually the first time we've had a tree taller than 8 feet. Since we have 20 foot ceilings, it makes it easier to go nuts.
