Any Aspies willing to talk to me?

Sorry, I'm new here, and I'm not really interested in the worried parents board, because I've done that already. I have a four year old who I'm certain is an Aspie, and I just want to understand him better. He is so smart and interesting and funny, and I can tell he is frustrated with not being able to communicate what he's thinking.

Please don't short change yourself by eschewing the Parents' Discussion forum. There are some very experienced hands there who offer hard earned insight and solutions generously to the "worried parents". One could do much worse than getting some understanding of aspie kids from them. Plenty of aspie parents to aspie kids there too.

I think that maybe it would be more helpful if you asked specific questions on what you want to know or start a discussion on a specific topic, maybe join the topics that are already being discussed. It is a little difficult to offer some opinion on your OP.
You might get more replies then.

I think if you read around you will get some good insight into some possible problems he may encounter. For example the thread 'you know you're an aspie when...' in the general autism forum, many people have just stated little things they deal with, some with humour.
If you don't have a specific question, maybe that will give you a place to start.

Hmmm.....4 years old and you want to try to rule out a diagnosis like this? Some people might not agree with my opinion but here it is: Give the child some time to develop more and maybe in a couple years if the occurance is still prevelant.....take measures necessary for help.
