Today; and it's not even Canadian Thanksgiving. So without further ado:

Great White North - 12 Days of Christmas

All the Christmas product made it into meny of the stores in mid September, too early in my opinion. .

I'm so sick of the holidays it's not funny! Hallowe'en hasn't even arrived, and the christmas shopping has already begun. I'm to the point that I agree with the Puritans, where Christmas is just another day.

It seems to have turned into a festival of drinking and spending money. I suppose for some there is a religious aspect, but that doesn't seem to be the primary purpose anymore.

Strangely that sounds alot like the festivial going on now, Oktoberfest. Ann, you may know what I am refering to depending on there in Ontario you are. The OPP is going to do well writing DUI tickets.

I"m in Kingston. We don't have an Oktoberfest here, but it sounds like a good start to the Festivus season.

What are people thinking, putting ads for Christmas before Halloween? Why think about the tedious month of December when you still have a good chunk of October and all of November left? :x :x :x :? :? :? :?

Walmart stores have all their Christmas stuff out.

This year, US Thanksgiving falls on the second night of Chanukah.

To be fair, some stores may need to take the leftover Christmas product out of overstock to make room to pack away the lawn and garden, therefore they just put the Christmas stock on the floor a little early to be practical. This gets worse if we have a bad spring and summer becouse all that lawn and garden won't sell therefore creating alot of overstock. I doubt meny big box stores keep much from previous years though.
