I'm going to buy an exotic appearence cat but cannot chose between them.

Exotic appearence cats are mostly from Bengals. They are the Serengeti, which are bred to look like Servals. Toygers, bred to look like tigers or a Cheetoh, bred to look like a Cheetah.

Well, I like having the clothes on my back quite a bit.

These cats are so pricey most crazy m***et dictators won't buy them.

I just started looking at breeder sites.

Maybe you could find some exotic appearance cats that aren't PEAC but still retain the general appearance. If cats work along the same lines as dogs, then cross-breeds should be cheaper than pure-breds.

That's because animal rights groups have been pretty effective in their attacks on our right to breed and own animals. The cheetah and the ocelot are nearly extinct because of them, and the breeding restrictions are damaging the chances of a lot of species.

Check with rescue organizations for the breed you are interested in and sometimes you get an animal at a much more reasonable price.

If you want a cat, check out rescue organizations. The Siamese cat site I belong to has rescue organizations all over the world where members reside. There are similar organizations for other breeds.

I flipped through a Cat Fancy magazine in the doctors office and saw those exotic cats that look like little tigers and leopards and thought I want one!! Then i saw the outrageous prices they are going for yikes! Maybe they will come down in price in a few years thou.

I want a cat that looks like a cat. Fortunately most cat fit this description. With the exception of Persians (which look like semi-animate lumps of fur), and Sphynx (which look like really big rats or chihuahuas... which also look like really big rats).

I want a Siamese cat...There's also this beautiful cat I see in my backyard sometimes that looks a bit like a Cheetah....He even lets me pet him. I want to steal him.
