http://www.usasoda.com - Another Aspie trait o' mine is talking about random things, as I've said before, so what is this link, you ask?

Why, it's a virtual museum of soda cans from various soda/pop companies over the years. The thing you will notice that while Coca-Cola (my fave soft drink)'s can design has remained relatively constant in many years (with a few tweaks here and there), Pepsi seems to change their logo every few years!

I hope you people enjoy the above link....... maybe when you look at a few of the cans featured on the site, you'll go, "Hey, I remember that!"

I remember the Olympic cans from 1984, the country cans from 1986, the Max Headroom and Disney cans from 1987, The Santa and Olympic cans from 1988, the Santa cans from 1990, the Disney cans from 1991, the Olympic cans from 1992, the Toon Town cans from 1993 and the Olympic cans from 1996.

I liked the 1997-2002 Diet Coke can.

Do you remember, back in the day, when the cans had removable keys? People used them as weapons so the soda companies decided the cans would now be opened without the key being removed.

I used to collect bottle caps as a kid. Later, I started collecting champagne bottle caps. I wanted to collect beer labels in an album but I never did because I never bought the album for it.

Aah, bottle caps.

I've heard a slightly different story about the pull tabs on soda cans. It's my understanding that the pull tab was eliminated because they were getting into vehicle tires, people's feet and the odd wild animal.
