I know this type of post is not consistent with the other types of posts in this section, but the category is "random"... and this is rather random:

Chickungunya and Dengue Fever have been in the news in the US lately. They're saying the diseases are becoming more frequent in certain regions of the country, and it worries me. I've had what my doctor said was Dengue Fever some years ago. Now I understand that since the symptoms of both diseases are so very similar, I may have, in fact, had Chikungunya instead. What worries me, though, is that I was warned that being reinfected with Dengue Fever will cause me to have Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever, which is a much more terrible form of the disease.
If what I had was Chikungunya, I'd not have to worry, since the viruses are not the same.

I'm not obsessively worrying, but am really concerned for myself and my family. We all had the ailment and were in terrible pain and horribly ill while quarantined. Now, I worry about any of us being reinfected, and the risk of not surviving.

I don't expect answers, for I haven't actually asked a question, but feel the need to voice my worries somewhere....but replies are always welcome.
