I know a lot of online "couples" who continuously seem to have their arguments out in open via status messages in various forums/sites. What kind of relationship can two people be having if they are not able to communicate directly with each other. What is the purpose of airing dirty laundry in pubilc? Is it looking for sympathy? Or trying to embarrass and humiliate?

locked into a mutual vicious circle of assured destruction. there has to be a better phrase for that. other than tragic.
