I like this philosophy. It basically means that you do what you like and enjoy, as long as you are not setting out to upset and offend others...and it means you allow others to do what they like and enjoy, so long as they are not setting out to offend and upset others. Honestly, there is nothing more unfair or ignorant, in my mind, than stomping on other peoples' ways of thinking, feeling, enjoying just because it does not match your own way of thinking, feeling, enjoying. I am normally a pretty tolerant person, but I am now annoyed... because for the first time in some weeks, I got engaged in something I was enjoying and that was making me smile...and an individual decided to come along and stomp on that and try and enforce his own opinions. That, to me, is ignorance and selfishness to the extreme. I realise that as aspies, there is a tendency to not be able to know how others are thinking and feeling and to maybe not be able to see from another's point of view... but I also know that most aspies, if not all, do at least reach some realisation that their viewpoint is not the be all and end all of life! I enjoy quizzes. I will post quizzes. Some enjoy random games... they can post random games... I do not much like random games, but I am happy for them to be here as others get pleasure from those. Some like to post about their 'churches'. I am not interested in this, but I do not put it down, although it confuses me. That is called tolerance, and I feel that a certain amount of tolerance is needed to get through this chaos we call life!
If any of this does not make sense, then apologies, it is 4.30am and I am tired.
