Mine was back when I had a 56K modem: Age of Empires II demo: It was an overnighter, about 8 hours.

With 28kbps dial up at home: 8 hours for iTunes
With 10Mbps LAN at university: 3 hours(including install and patch time) for World of Warcraft

I once downloaded a recording of George W. Bush trying to read War & Peace. It was 10 years, without a break. The recording, not the download.

1 Hour, when I had dialup. Now most things download within 1 minute or less if the server connection is good.

I remember the days of having 56k (ours was more like 28k due to the crap telephone signals) and downloading a video to Tenacious D's 'Tribute' over a period of 4 days on-and-off over Kazaa. :lol:

Wow! I was impressed with the 2 or 3 days I would do. Uploads, on the other hand, can still take me quite a while.
