I constantly get told junk like this. I really enjoy taking notice of the places in movies where the depicted event could not happen in real life, and I really enjoy filling in details to explain the unexplained. I'm told people hate watching movies with me.
I constantly try to get my awareness up to what people in any given industry would notice as they go about their day. I want to simultaneously have the eyes of a cop, mechanic, accountant, farmer, astronomer, and every other profession.
I'm obsessed, and I despise being told to stop because "normal" people don't care about anything.

I do the same things when it comes to movies. Like when I'm watching a horror movie, I'm thinking waaaay too logically and saying things like, "That wouldn't have happened with them watching right there" or "those special effects are so cheap" and other stuff like that. I want to be scared, not bored!

In movies suspension of disbelief is fine.

In Real Life we must seek and question everything.

How can we bring science in to the social world without objectifing people?

If rationality itself is a religion then sign me on as a devout fanatic.

I'm not talking about my dog (I don't have one anyway), primates use tools and can be taught ASL and math, dolphins may also understand math, as well as some species of birds. there are several species other than humans who are approaching, or may already be at what we generally think of as 'consciousness'.

Well, we can accept that they make no sense, or we can look for behavior patterns based upon past behavior. I know what you mean with "objectifying people" but I don't know how to avoid it, if you are looking for ways to understand why they do what they do.
