A while back, I came across an old VHS tape purely by chance that was simply a video of a man speaking to the camera about certain political and economic changes that had occured leading up to the filming of the video, where he anticipated that might go in the future and what investments he thought might be most advantagious to the viewer. Information in this video lead me to an obscure publication through which I discovered a publishing company that I'm very interested in.
This specific company published a large number of books. All of them dealt with politics, economics, religion and philosophy. It no longer exists and their books are no longer in print. To make things worse, certain organisations (including the organization that used the threat of physical violence against the owner of the company and his employees to convince them to stop selling their books) have made an effort to destroy all existing copies of many of these books.
Some of them have been uploaded to the internet and I've downloaded every one of them I could with the intent of protecting this information even though I don't agree with the views of many of the authors. However, I recently came across a catalog the publisher released shortly before they closed down and it turns out that what I've been able to find online is only a tiny percentage of their literature.
Armed with a list of titles and authors (many of whom are probably dead now) I'm trying to find as many of these books as possible and scan them so I can upload them to the internet for anyone with interest in them to download. My question to you is how might I go about finding these books? I found one that a public library in my county had that I couldn't find anywhere online and used a digital camera to take pictures of every page (it was the best I could do at the time) but I'd REALLY like to find copies for sale. Any ideas about how I might do this would be much appreciated.
