I do quite a lot.... in fact I've just stayed up all night doing so. It occurred to me that autistic types like ourselves might very well be very hard to read & so might make reasonably good players. Stu Ungar? Howard Lederer? Chris "Jesus" Ferguson? Aspie?

Maybe....

I don't play with money much, just plain old chips but I'm known for having an amazing poker face.

Nope. I don't like gambling. Except in Pokemon games that is...

Stu Ungar was probably autistic. His biography 'Man Behind The Shades' is a good read.

I don't think Ferguson is; just an expert on Game Theory. ( 'The Mathematics of Poker' by Chen & Ankennman)

Also nothing to do with 'being hard to read'; this is buying into a loser's myth. If you know your theory you could not care less about 'being hard to read.' ( You think people can 'see inside your soul' ?)

edit: a lot of beginners may have 'tells'. But once you reach a certain level you stop seeing them. And i'm not talking about some of the clowns you see on the WPT.

Love it. Good strategy, combined with having a decent ability to read others.

I play poker, but not for money. I only play for fun, with my siblings and some guys at school.

All the lack of tells in the world would go to waste since I don't actually know how to play poker

I don't think I'd be able to control my facial expression in a real poker game.
I play on the internet a bit.
Perfect for an aspie, don't you think? 8)

For those who can keep their facial expressions under control when playing poker, are you any good at reading the expressions of your opponents?

What are the rules anyway? If you can wear shades, can you pull your t-shirt up over your mouth?
