Several things I noticed about my cats...
They don't like eye contact, they don't like being hugged/picked up/touched, but does enjoy being petted on certain areas when they feel like it...
They are very self conscious...

And they are just too adorable...

I'm upset about this IAMs cat food recall that is going on...'cause following the vet's advice I've been feeding my cats IAMS for over a year now...and right now I've got only IAMS cat food in my pantry and I don't know if I should feed my hungry cats those recalled canned food or if I should wait till the grocery opens and buy them another brand...My cats didn't show any symptoms, but I am concerned...

Anyway, anybody who has to feed a cat, note that several cat foods are on recall...

My cat always makes eye contact when begging for food or attention.

yeah...my cats stare at me so much when they are hungry that it feels like their energy is poring into me...hmm...I was thinking...when I hold them in my arms, they always look away....and when I look into their eyes, they sort of blink very slowly or look away...just thinking of them makes me roll over because of their cuteness...

Lightening88: a dorky cat! He must be really something...:D

I know that when cats close they're eyes half way when they are looking at you that means they are comfortable with you and trust you.

lol He is! He lets the dogs mess with him, he howls constantly, he looks like he's pregnant since he's so fat, and he wouldn't even come downstairs the first three months we moved here! He also chases the laser light like crazy, too! Plus he'll run into walls when he does. lol He's a total dork! :)

4 months ago I had a kitten, I found it my house's yard on Monday Nobember 20th, and I named it "Mugen" (yes, like Mugen from Samurai Champloo :D ).

Mugen makes eye contact, but he passed almost all time playing and watching grasshoppers and other insects. He ate everything I gave him.

When my dad discovered I had a cat, he was angry because he hates cats. My uncle had cats, and he loves them, so Mugen is living with him.

My uncle name him "Güero" (spanish word, the meaning is something like "Blondy"), now Güero likes people touch him, also he plays with my uncle's dog.

I think cat's behavior it's interesting. Now, I only have two basilisks as my pets :)

About 25 years ago I lived in Ontario with my dad and our two cats. One of them (my cat) absolutely hated to be picked up. He was okay with being petted. The other cat (my dad's), on the other hand, loved being picked up and held.

Different cats, different strokes.

I love entering into staring matches with cats. They are tough opponents.

Schmoo is a very rare cat. She loves being held, but I have to hold her a certain way. She is very arrogant. She eats a lot, and she charges her body against my door to annoy me, so I go up and feed her. She stares at me for a long time and I have to make her stop because it's uncomfortable.

My one cat, Paul, is very loving. The others are more aloof.

lol And don't even get me started on Mac! Okay, I'll start anyway! lol Back in 2003, my mom bought a black short-haired cat named Mac at the cat show. He seemed like a normal cat- or so we thought. A few days after we had brought him home, he started becoming really attached to me. He would follow me around everywhere I went, he would purr for no reason if I was in the area, he would kneed me like crazy, and if I spanked him, he'd purr and kneed even more!! ! But the thing is, he absolutely hated my mom. He didn't want anything to do with her. But he was completely obsessed with me! And if I closed the door, he'd yowl and paw at the door until he could get his way, no matter how long it would take. After two years of this, that cat was really beginning to creep me out and drive me nuts. We sold him to a family with four little kids for him to play with. Looking back, I still think that cat was creepy! 8O
