Over the past week I have observed some trends from the mainstream society possibilities of developing mental health problems in general population from the impacts by societal and technological developments. I understand that people with ASD and other disabilities can be related to this scenario, but it is not part of our current generation that made us appear disabled. I am a little confused between having 'mental' disabilities and the people in general population develop one by influences of societal and technological developments.

What I meant by societal and technological development influences? Think about antisocial behaviour, I am not an expert on this but I can tell this is an effective implications. I have provided some examples in below dot points of what my observations has seen recently:

1. Social media and online: Since humans were created, we are adapted to reality social communications. It wasn't until late 90's where that social media was developed after years of internet development. Facebook and Myspace was the first being empowered. I have seen the trend of Facebook usage creates a change in reality social communications. its the way how people interact including NTs and with other disabilities than ASD. Their interactions appears to be disorganised and unacceptable in reality as being a online user. For example on Facebook I have seen users play games like creating an addiction, using IM words as not an English form of language, sharing inflectional and social chaos in false dichotomy and pretenses of pictures, links and videos on their walls. So are we going to live in the world relying on online social communication into reality? Is it because we live in more fake world that everyone depending on others?

2. Mainstream resources: Such as commercial advertising, drugs, alcohol, junk food, insurance providers and that. Are they trying to market 'human race' rules? The world is getting narrower in the mind of people whilst the population is growing. Why need robust commercial and marketing techniques when the world population is growing? What about the rise of intra-generation conflict? Back in 1980's where fashion and music is a empowerment to socialism. Today is nothing like that because of reality television shows, commercial advertisements and dependent sources driving changes to people's thoughts and creation of new and stubborn habits. These factors also contribute to antisocial behaviour because of how people be acceptable of the differences.

3. Rising cost of living: Why money and costs goes up when population is growing? The more it grows, money grows at dangerous rate where we see the increasing gap between the rich and the poor. That is also influencing social behaviour too. This links to development of violence, gun, drugs, mental inabilities and antisocial behaviour due to loss of self-empowerment. People become greedy and needy at the same time. This just like a person pointing the gun at an innocent person's head and say "Give me money because I don't have any money".

So I am expecting from you all may agree or disagree of my points above but I understand that the cases of us being different. In my perspective, we cannot make judgements on something like 'mainstream' which would be likely to win over the disadvantaged people whose are not being dependent on. Don't you think we need to restrengthen social justice and welfare rather than increasing participation on irrelevant human activities?
