Nights are a good occasion to get rest and get comfy but they can also trap you in a hell of hysteria and terror. The topic of this thread is nightmares, more specifically yours. Here's one of mine:

Last night, I was dreaming about me and my friend going to his natal City in Nicaragua. We were planning on staying at his father's house until he comes back. The one problem there was we were trapped in it; The only way out was guarded by a hungry Bull Terrier.

We had to feed him, and to do so there was a small metal "door" wich could be slid up and down and was large enough to let the dog through. One day, when I was the one who had the responsability to put the meat through the door, the hound was faster than me and dragged me out and ripped me appart as my friend was watching in panic. I woke up right after that.

Now, what about you?

^ Did you feel the pain when you were ripped apart?

I remember some of my nightmares from years ago. Two of them involved my family members and I don't even want to describe them here because I don't want to even think about them. I wish I could forget them.

I can think of five others. I'll briefly describe them.
1. Some crazy shooter waiting outside the door wanting to kill me.
2. Gore after someone jumped off a building.
3. Splattering of flesh in a train accident.
4. Another train accident in which someone's splattering flesh hitting my back.
5. Being in a airplane that was about to crash.

I think not, but I remember the sense of dread that was present during the whole time after learning we couldn't get out without being eaten. It was horrible.

I used to have recurring 'mares about being trapped in a dark and filthy lavatory that was lit by just one spider-web-entombed light bulb, and all the toilets were flooding and the sewage was up to my eyeballs and turds were getting in my hair and stinky pee and poo water was flowing into my ears and it tasted awful and stank to heaven, so bad I could not breathe. alternately I dreamt I was in that same dingy lavatory but there were spider webs all over with lots of dead bugs in them, and millions of creepy crawly bugs and worms and things that were crawling all over me, I was floating in a pool of 'em! and I was armed with only a little whisk broom to shoo them off of me, ineffectually, and they were stinging and biting me. after both dreams I sat bolt upright in bed panting and sweating and yelling. 8O

once i dreamed that my elementary school teacher was trying to kill me, and he chased me all over my backyard until i was trapped in a corner of the fence, and i tried to pull a nail out of the fence to defend myself but he stabbed me in the chest and then i woke up.

another time, i dreamed that i had to install ubuntu on a roomful of old computers. so for the first two everything goes fine, then on one of them i can't log in for some reason. so this guy comes over to help me, he takes out a piece of circuit board from the computer and pries two purple-coated things that look kind of like batteries from it, puts it back in and says it's fixed.

then the dream changed and we were in this place with white, endlessly-turning hallways, which the guy said was the realm of my imagination. he had changed into an amorphous creature with glistening yellow-orange skin, and he trailed a ribbon of dark, shiny bits behind and in front of him. he said, "whatever you would think of in this place, it will happen.. for example, i'm sure that you don't want that pillar behind you to be covered in spikes, but now that you've thought of it it surely is..." i looked behind me and saw that the pillar was covered in long, black points that scattered everywhere and surrounded me. the guy drifted up to me chuckling and said "any last words?" i just said "why are you doing this?" and then i woke up.

most of my dreams are similarly creepy

I have recurring dreams about the army and being in a cafeteria eating food.

1. One very graphic nightmare where my turtle was a bloody, moldy mess.

2. My mother being suicidal, and couldn't be left alone at all.

Recurring ones:

3. Re-living the end time with a beloved pet, losing them all over again. Waking up crying.

4. A few about zombies.

5. Some about nuclear war.

6. Some about terrorists.

7. Generally being chased and/ or threatened and/ or molested/raped.

8. Some about me or one of my loved ones becoming seriously ill.
