Hello my question is could ancient humans prepare for natural disasters like today since there were no warnings or the understanding of them that science and technology gives us today and they thought the Gods caused natural disasters ?

What did ancient humans do during natural disasters?
Like ancient societies, what would Native Americans do during a tornado or hurricane? Would they predict a tornado is coming because of the sky before a tornado? Lol they didn't have shelter and stuff like we do, didn't have cars like we do to move...what did they do?

From the perspective of a guy who works outdoors, they would have definitely known the signs of impending bad weather.
You learn, and are taught, to read the skies and to observe animal behavior.
I was told that tornadoes had a minimum impact on the Plains Tribes because their populations were so dispersed that the chances of getting hit were very slight.
