Clutter hoarder?

Unfortunately I'm one of those. I keep far too many things because "it's still good" or "I might have a use for it someday.." and what ends up happening is that I have massive amounts of clutter in my room & garage that only serve to distract me from doing more productive things - whether that's making money, being active, working on other goals etc.
Every once in a while I get sick of my own mess and do a cleanup.. but never deep enough. Today is one of those days that while I'm digging out tools and gear for a new job I'm throwing things into the recycling/garbage/donation piles. At least with an influx of Syrian refugees coming I'll be able to donate a bunch of useful household items and so on to some people who could make use of them when they get here.
This time I'm sick of my own mess more than ever I think.. and day by day, week by week, I intend to declutter my life more than I ever have before. It'll be refreshing. So much positive change going on in my life and all around me I'm looking forward to cleaning up my act and moving forward with an ever cleaner slate and clearer mind. I know these are habits that I can learn and must make if I want to be successful with my plans. The vast majority of successful/wealthy people I know don't live in clutter at all. They're decisive and take action, never allowing the clutter of things that don't serve them or their goals to accumulate around them. I need to become more like them in those ways in order to grow, change, learn, achieve & succeed.
Anyone else feel similarly? Done with clutter and time to change? Take action and get rid of stuff every single day & bit by bit you'll clean up your act and w/o the visual distraction of clutter you'll have a clearer and more focused mind ready to move forward with more important things. At least that's my intent & hope, anyways. Time will tell.
I guess I'm posting this here as a bit of an accountability thing. Maybe in time I'll post an update as to how much I've worked on these goals and what sorts of changes/benefits I've gained for having done so.

Seriously.....My goal is to be able to move all my stuff in with one van. I don't like lots of material things. I like my bed, computer, TV, stuff like that....but, otherwise, I really don't care about things. I have no pictures of me at my desk.

Well, I don't seem to have that problem. No stacks of junk I have to climb over just yet. It's my collectibles that I worry I have too much of. In fact I donated two large garbage bags of them to the Salvation Army just last week.
I was told that I shouldn't feel guilty about such things if it makes me happy. I need to have things like cute stuffed animals and toys to make me feel happier and more relaxed. But it is good to clear away stuff that hasn't emotionally touched me in quite a while.
In all the shows I've seen about compulsive hoarding the people are nearly always delusional and don't think they have a problem even when it's completely disgusting and dangerous, and it's only because they're about to be evicted or arrested and their home will be condemned that they end up getting it cleaned out. The show I saw the house got condemned anyway because a guy actually fell through the floor. He was okay.

I just have junk/clutter/stuff & a messy bedroom, not a dangerous hoarding situation by any stretch of the imagination.
I threw out/recycled a large garbage bag worth of crap & took a box of stuff to a new/used sporting goods store & sold it for $255 this evening. I have a lot more to get rid of over the coming weeks and months ahead. I think the most difficult "stuff" for me to part with will be books I've read.. buuut, I might just donate them somewhere. Maybe. I just keep them - I've never re-read a book I've read before, ever, in my entire life that I can recall. Would clear quite a bit of shelf/garage space by getting rid of several boxes of books. Hmmmm.. all the rest of the clutter can go first - then maaaybe the books, too.
